Rocks and roots

There's around 18km of trail here at Gisburn and it's all quite varied, though from really quite technical to flowy, with some compulsory rustic boardwalk and optional black bits. Probably the highlight is Hully's Gully with absolutely enormous berms - how high up them dare you go? You can push back up the red route here for a second go. It's often quite muddy, not in a way that makes it unrideable but in a way that gives you a lot of washing! There's new stuff going in all the time, for example the new Hope downhill course, the new skills loop and a Visitor Centre and it seems a bit less muddy every time too.

Rating: 3, "Good riding, worth travelling to".
